Below are some of our current needs... We'd love to hear from you!

SOEP Fundraising – Donations and Sponsorships Committee

Volunteers are needed to be part of the exciting team that is responsible for collecting and organizing donations and sponsorships for the events that raise capital for SOEP. Members of this committee will communicate with people from the community as well as parent base and use organizational skills to pull together many elements. SOEP is Looking for Volunteers!!!

SOEP is looking for volunteers to help with several fundraising events for the 2012-2013 school year. We are approaching our fundraising efforts a bit differently next year. Instead of one big auction event, we will be having several smaller, unique events. But don’t worry, many of the popular auction items (ie- teacher pastimes) will be incorporated into these new events. We hope to be able to reach everyone who would like to contribute to SOEP while having some exciting, new events!

SOEP must raise $120,000 in order to continue funding classroom technology & software, art and music programs. These programs touch EVERY ONE of our students and therefore we hope that every family will help contribute in some way. Any amount of time you can spare to volunteer helps!

If you would like to help with any of the following programs, or would like to be added to our general volunteer list, click here to submit your name and email address.  For more information, contact Jill Lerner ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Be A Silver Oak Ambassador

Being a new family to Silver Oak can be overwhelming. The Silver Oak Ambassador program is designed to help new families feel more comfortable during their first year at Silver Oak. Being an Ambassador involves:

  • Contacting your assigned family to introduce yourself
  • Providing your contact information to the new family.
  • Sending out monthly/quarterly emails provided by Ambassador Program Chair
  • Answering questions and being a resource for your new family

Hours required: 1 hour a month (could be more if you choose)

Please note: depending on the type of relationship formed with your new family, the time involved could be more. The expectation for an Ambassador, however, is about 1 hour a month.
