About SOEP

Who we are...

The Silver Oak Educational Partnership (SOEP) was established in 1995 as an educational foundation for the benefit of students at Silver Oak Elementary School. The organization is managed and operated completely by parent and community volunteers.

What we do…

Throughout the year, parents, community members and local businesses offer financial support, goods and services with the promise that SOEP will help transform their gifts into an exceptional educational experience for Silver Oak students. To fulfill this promise, 100% of SOEP’s income is directed towards academic enrichment programs through the awarding of grants to the school, its teachers and contract program providers. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, donations made to SOEP qualify as charitable contributions that are eligible for tax deduction.

How we do it…

The SOEP organization is governed by a board composed of eleven directors. Each of the directors carries an equal voice in guiding SOEP’s long-term strategy and annual plans for events and the awarding of grants to the school. The recruitment and coordination of volunteers for SOEP activities is driven by SOEP committees, which are each dedicated to the success of a specific aspect of SOEP’s operations.
